I promise that I have a good reason for saying this after every massage I give, and NO, it doesn't have anything to do with flushing the toxins out of your body. That is a big time myth. However, water does have a nice visceral effect that can be helpful in how you move. Massage deals directly with soft tissue. When tissue is manipulated, it can become dehydrated same as after a workout. Try to think of massage as passive exercising. I do all of the work, you get the positive results. Just remember; I can't drink your water for you.
